Wethos has a New Home! Here’s What’s Next

First, the big news. Wethos has been acquired!

Wethos found a new home as part of Spark & Code (S&C), where it will be cared for and grown by a team of experts guided and grounded in our values of purpose-driven impact, positive energy, and creative empowerment.

As a company of freelancers ourselves, we want Wethos to thrive, grow, and support freelancers in growing their business as it has for the last nine years.

What’s Staying the Same

Your account, proposals, invoices, and everything you’ve built in Wethos is still accessible, and will continue to be. We’re committed to ensuring the Community continues to be at the heart of Wethos, and to continuing to nurture and grow the platform with your voices and needs at the forefront.

Rachel and Claire, Wethos’ original cofounders, have stayed on through the transition to make sure that knowledge is transferred, bugs are tracked, and the spirit of the platform remains strong.

What’s Changing

Well, for starters, the people behind the scenes.

Hi, I’m Alex! I’m stepping in as the new Head of Community at Wethos. I’ll be the voice behind your emails and announcements, the person posting on socials, and one of many champions of user feedback within the new team. Alongside me is Elizabeth, our new Head of Product. We’re here because we believe in what Wethos offers, and in the community that loves it!

We’re joined by a team that’s excited to help shape what comes next, who we’ll introduce in the coming months.

What’s Next

We want to hear from you. Seriously.

Whether you’re a longtime Wethos user or just discovering us, now’s a great time to reach out. Shoot us an email to support@wethos.co or a message on LinkedIn. Tell us what you love, what you wish worked differently, and what’s missing. We’re listening, and we’re already making plans for what’s ahead.

In the coming months, you’ll start to see more communication from us. Expect more transparency, more awareness of what we’re working on, and more chances to get involved. And, of course, new features and improvements built from your feedback.

Want to stay in the loop? Now’s a great time to update your notification preferences in your account settings. You can opt into our newsletter, surveys, and upcoming user research invitations.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Wethos community for hanging in there during an uncertain few months. Thank you for your patience, your ideas, and your trust.

We can’t wait to build with you,

Alex, Elizabeth, and the Wethos Team
